So ive done a few RJTAG installs however never with this approach. My buddy sent me a rjtag board with wires and the ribbon cable and no qsbs. So im wondering what the best way to install this would be. If maybe one of you have gone this route before and can offer some advice i would appreciate it. Thanks.

hey.. was wondering why you didn't use the post pads on the r-jtag board.. would of been easier than removing the ribbon connector .. since you already have it connected.. I should be ok :)

Didn't realize those pads were for post until after the fact lol. But yeah i was basically just trying to make sure the way i was going about it would be fine. I thought so i just didn't want to take any chances.

you're all good to go .. you may want to put some hot-glue on those connections or tape the wires in place.. and also when you solder the other end to the 360.. have seen too many people accidentally pull on a wire and rip a pad off :)

Finished about an hour ago just got done fine tuning. Boots anywhere from 4 to 10 seconds (usually around 6).

Settings:
Dips 3,7,8 with 1.2v jumper. I figured doing a complete wire install would have been a tedious task however the most lengthy part was the fine tuning.

Why on earth didn't you just use the pads?

Most people should own a multimeter - attempting soldering without it will just cause you problems down the line.

I didn't notice the pads until after the fact unfortunately. The points i soldered too i tested with a multimeter, i decided to stick with those points because they worked and i saw no reason to move them to the pads afterwards when they worked fine were they were.
