The fans are not moving, the system does not boot xell and I cant continue working on it w/o cooling down the CPU/GPU. What could be the issue? Do you recommend disabling the R-JTAG and flashing stock nand again? How can I temporarily disable the R-JTAG?

thnx

Description of problem:
Non working fans. xell did not boot. tried aud_clamp and regular JTAG. Main issue is the fans at the moment...cant continue w/o them.

Was the console working before you started: Y

I know it's recommeded to solder the ground to the metal on the a/v port. Have you tried that yet?

If no, but you deviated from standard install recommendations, so lets try getting things back to what is recommended and go from there. The fans are powered by the single regulator on the bottom side of the board, right where the fan plugs in. Start there checking voltages.

Also, I imagine you are supposed to ground the chip on the chassis so you dont risk overloading that particular ground trace. Yes, a ground is a ground, but the traces leading back to the main ground plain on the motherboard may not be rated for the rjtag's power. This could damage other circuits, such as the fan controller.

Thnx for the hints....very helpful...will fix the ground first and check the voltage for the fan....will report later...

I did remove the R-JTAG completely...flashed stock nand. I switched off the quick solder board in the underside (JTAG). Yet the fans are not moving, the old fans were replaced with another fans from an old Jasper! Any thoughts...?

Admin: Cant get POST logs...

*edit*
the fans are supplied with 14+ V, now, the three pins, I measured using a multimeter and found out that pins 1 and 3 are supplied with 14+ V

R-JTAG has nothing to do with your console fan. If it's stopped working then either you messed up the soldering big time, or it was already faulty/failing component.

If you don't know how to fix it, find someone who does.

The system powers on. I replaced the fan with another from a Jasper! Now, the fans are working now.

It is a falcon... DIP 7 is on, and the rest is OFF. here is a screenshot of the rater... I see 3 green LEDs on the RF board btw... HDMI is connected...The jumper on the jtag which capacitance shall I choose for a falcon? I might try the aud_clamp again..

You at least need 1 timing selected from dips 1 thru 6
