OK! I tried dips 1-6, 7 is always ON, and each time I set one of the first 6 ON. Here is a screenshot...

My Rater Screenshot_2.png

The capacitor on the JTAG board, which one shall I select? bear in mind it is a falcon...
On the Jrunner board there are 3 switches...1 is reset...what are the other two? and what are the default settings for both?!

thnx

When I click stop, the system does not shut down...forcing me to pull the plug.

I did the aud_clamp method. shorted 1-3, and attached the wire to the designated area. Then I made sure to move the jumper in the JTAG QSB to 470. Now my J-Runner board is not recognized by J-Runner the software... please check this image
J-Runner.png
Every time I attach and detach the JRunner board, I see bootlaoder was attached or removed in the JRunner software console window.

Maybe you switched it to bootloader mode by mistake. Make sure the switch is furthest from the text (jp-bl)

On the Jrunner board there are 3 switches...1 is reset...what are the other two? and what are the default settings for both?!
With the mini-USB port of the JRunner facing you, with the component side facing up, the reset switch is the first one on the right. It is a push button switch. The one directly next to it is the bootloader switch. Normal operation is for it to be away from the reset button. If it gets moved toward the reset button and you plug in the USB cable it goes into bootloader mode, and the red LED comes on. As for the other switch on the back left of the board, I can't help you with the function of that one.

Every time I attach and detach the JRunner board, I see bootlaoder was attached or removed in the JRunner software console window.
You may have to flash the JRunner. I don't know where the official instructions are for that on the forum, but here is what I did to get it to operate normally again. Switch the bootloader (BL) switch toward the reset switch, and plug in the USB cable. Red LED comes on and JRunner program will show Bootloader Attached. Unplug the USB cable, and switch the BL switch back to normal position, then plug the USB cable back in. Then in JRunner, go to Tools>Flash JR-P fw, then browse to your J-Runner directory under the common folder and select the .HEX file for your model JRunner programmer. The status window will show what is going on with the flash load and verify. Once it is done, unplug the USB and replug. It should come back on with the green light and stop showing Bootload Attached in the status window.

Thnx

I re-programmed the JRunner reader/writer with JRP_FIRMWARE_104.hex, yet it only functions as if it is in bootloader mode although the switch is moved away from the reset switch. Any help?

I don't think that's the right hex file. It should say v2 in it

would you give me the link for the proper file?

I am sure if I did something wrong it will be dead, not half working.

*edit*
Yes, I think I have JRP 2

In page 1, you can see that the green wire is already soldered. What's wrong with my setup? I cant get any readings?!

*edit*
What about the HDMI cable? shall I attach it?!

That green wire is for your R-JTAG.

I see no POST_OUT cable from the R-JTAG to the JR-P v2.

For that matter, I don't see normal JR-P v2 wires soldered for NAND R/W.

To push the matter further, I see no evidence of you using a TX product to Read/Write.

Pic of your device, please.

I have multiple usb readers, nand-x is one of them, but I am not using it right now. I dont have working QSBs for reading/writing the nands, hence you dont see the cables going from the box to JRP v2. I can show you some of t-x products now if that will satisfy your curiosity...
