I soldered the wires to the board
wires-1.jpgwires-2.jpg

but J-Runner was not able to detect the nand! Do you notice any issues?!

*edit*
Now when I click STOP the system shuts down...
*edit2*
Do I need HDMI cable attached to get the logs?!
*edit3*
Fixed, switched orange and red....now I am able to flash using JR-P 2

The picture shows something else, however I will try to double check using a multimeter...Are you aware of alternative post out points to check the continuity?!

you don't need alt points.

Check each POST pad on the QSB against GND (with the console off and unplugged).

You should be getting values between 100 and 120k.

Thnx...The values I got were 140+ K...for all of them. I checked the alternative point on the QSB, not the soldered ones... is this OK?

As explained in the previous 3 pages, I did everything I could to isolate the issue. Basically all I want now is a method to temporarily disable the R-JTAG. I will do the rest like flash stock nand back and make sure that the system boots w/o issues. Disabling the 5V source and leaving other QSBs might not work since I am not sure what that JTAG ON/OFF switch might lead to. Perhap turning that switch off w/o disabling the 5V source is enough. I do not know... I just do not want to solder/desolder everything again. If you read some of the previous replies you might notice that some took their time to explain what some switches mean and what their actual functions...

That's why I am keen to know a method to temporarily disable the R-JTAG, but I prefer a response from someone from the team.

Switch the jtag qsb to off. The two way switch, take off the 5v wire from the rjtag glitcher and flash back your stock nand dump.

Test to see if the console boots.

I read the replys are your previous posts and all I can see is fail.
Your post out is completley wrong so something isnt right

I noticed that the logs are totally wrong, but not sure what was causing them. I will disable the 5V source and switch off the switch. You nick is familiar but not sure if you are a member of the team. However, that's fine... I will do as that and see...

thnx

Ok - do this.

Remove EVERYTHING you've soldered to the console, ensuring the original NAND was written back.

If it works and the fan spins, congrats. Go find someone to install the product for you.

If console doesn't work still, either sell as faulty or send to someone as repair.

w/o removing all the wires...Just 5V source and the switch was set to off... I got RROD, error code 0020 http://xbox-experts.com/errorcode/E08/0020/. So it seems I have to remove everything according to the site and work on it again...
I do not have plans to sell this one as faulty since the fans are spinning w/o issues, the only issue was that I cant get postout logs assuming you were following the previous posts carefully. I will remove the parts, confirm that it does boot...and work on it again. Then Martin C, you dont know me so you cant judge my expertise, the only thing is that according to your ads, your products were supposed to work w/o issues or secrets...

thnx

The only 'secret' is you need to be able to follow instructions and solder, not to mention have a basic understanding of the process.

I don't need to judge someone who, 3 pages in, is still no further forward in resolving an issue as it's only NOW they think it's wise to back out their changes and make sure the console boots.

That speaks volumes.
