I thought it is wise when you design a product to be able to supply simple methods to disable any changes in order to save time and money. Anyway, I did remove everything, cleaned the board properly. I also did clean the R-JTAG parts and made sure no shorts exit. Now, I booted the console and it does boot to M$ dash, but guess what?! The fans are not moving... What do you think?!

like martin said, these should be installed by people who actually have the understanding of the entire process.
and the RJTAG guide imo is pretty straight forward.

if your console worked fine before you installed this kit, then clearly something has gone wrong on your part.

maybe you have damaged the fan controller. or bridged something perhaps

So the advice I gave is still good enough here. You need someone to repair the console for you as you've damaged it.

I have this theory, since the 12V mod was made previously, and since I did not notice the noise...Maybe it was not working at all. The parts are already purchased and if you check my previous posts you will see that the fans did work before removing the R-JTAG, but postout logs did not exist. What is next?! I do not have plans to take this to a local shop since I prefer to do it myself.

thnx

*edit*
I disagree with you Martin, I did not break anything at all.

I've seen it done before. This is actually likely true about your 12v fan mod

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

But how come the fans did work when the console was modded with the R-JTAG mod?!

My only option is to attach the R-JTAG boards again...and see how come the fans are moving when the parts are soldered, and not without them! w/o fans the console is useless...

thnx

You did not get it. The boards are attached properly, the system boots, fans are moving...but postout logs are missing! I wonder what could be the problem!

Op, before actually trying to glitch the console are you writing xell reloaded or xell reloaded audclamp ( if you have chose audclamp) ?

Or are you just soldering in the rjtag kit and then switching on?

xell was written...yet postout logs were missing!

Anyway, I just attached the postout and JTAG QSBs. The JTAG switch is set at ON, 470 was selected (is that resistance or capacitance?), and the switch in the JTAG board is in the middle...points 1-3 are shorted for aud_clamp. The system boots in to stock dashboard and the fans are spinning! Why is that? I don't know...

Will attach the rest of the wires, flash xell and try to get some readings...

thnx

OK! The system boots, fans are working, ribbon cable is attached -hopefully properly-, xell aud_clamp image was flashed, dips 1-6 were tested and 7 is always ON. Start/Stop powers up and shuts down the system. Yet no postout logs...All I get is
Code:
Phat Selected
Version: 10
Power Up
Waiting for POST to change
Shutdown
What now?!

*edit*
ribbon cable, the platinum side faces up?!

*edit*
shall I flash the R-JTAG board with a hex/xsvf file?!

The blue should be showing on the ribbon where it goes into the socket.

what i mean is you should see the blue tab which faces upward/outward when it is in the socket on the r-jtag board.

My mistake. That was one of the main problems....after inserting the cable properly -blue ends faces up- the system boots, green LED blinks, after 30-40 seconds xell did boot, I have the CPU key...but the rater does not work!

Code:
Phat Selected
Version: 00
Wrong Version.
