Two of my last pics from rater. The first one was set 2&7 on, everything else default, endless cycle. The second one was 3&7 on, everything else default, rr'd at 13th cycle. I even went over solder points again with a mag glass and everything looks good. I did however shorten the green wire (E) between qsb v3 and r-jtag chip hoping that was causing the issue but still same results.

You're not even getting 20 so something's not connected right.

Is there a reason why you overloaded the solder points on the QSBs? How much solder do you think you need?

Get some desoldering braid and remove all excess solder.

Here are some pics of everything redone, I have more but they are not uploading for some reason, I tore everything down and redid all points using desolder braid. These pics may look like there is alot on the points but the camera is just really close. I am about to run some tests now. Will try to get the other pics up here in just a few. I redid everything except the post out as the points are so small I added just enough solder to them the first time around, you will see in the pics when I get them up.

I did that after I took the picture, gonna get the other pics up asap

I know the cpu_rst looks a bit long but it has been trimmed back.

What are your guys' opinions on the post out soldering? Does it look like it should be fine or does it need a tad more solder? I am just trying to narrow the possibilities. I can still mess with the ohm settings, try the alt cpu_rst, and try 1.8v (it's on 1.2v atm).

Update: After some searching I noticed that some people are having luck with the mobo in the metal shell so I popped it in there and this is my most recent rater results:

No red ring but it just kept going so I ended it manually, any thoughts as if I am getting closer to something?

This is what POST_OUT should look like:

Post 10 - Payload/1BL started
Post 11 - FSB_CONFIG_PHY_CONTROL
Post 12 - FSB_CONFIG_RX_STATE
Post 13 - FSB_CONFIG_TX_STATE
Post 14 - FSB_CONFIG_TX_CREDITS
Post 15 - FETCH_OFFSET
Post 16 - FETCH_HEADER
Post 17 - VERIFY_HEADER
Post 18 - FETCH_CONTENTS
Post 19 - HMACSHA_COMPUTE
Post 1A - RC4_INITIALIZE
Post 1B - RC4_DECRYPT
Post 1C - SHA_COMPUTE
Post 1D - SIG_VERIFY
Post 1E - BRANCH
Post 20 - CB entry point reached
Post 21 - INIT_SECOTP

Those other codes indicate something else afoot

That's better - you just need to try other DIPs.

I put that there as a footholder because I was on my office laptop, I went back through the solder points on the post out and used the suggestion above and it booted to xell finally. Cold it takes 6-7 cycles, warm takes 2-3 with dips 5&7 on, 1.2v bridge, 330 cap, and 3-way switch to the left. Another odd thing is rater is not shutting the console down or maybe I am misinterpreting the shut down process. Either way it will not boot to xell on dips 1-4 (each individually) & 7 with the current 1.2v, 330 cap, and 3-way to the left, only boots to xell with 5&7 on. Here is a pic of the most recent rater:

For some reason I can't upload it and using the link from photobucket says I exceeded privileges so here is the link:

EDIT: also thanks to Maveriick for the suggestion

The console will only turn off if you have the green nand wire connected to jrpv2 and the nand point on motherboard.

I leave my nand cables in untill its finished. With the nand cables in you can do a proper rater and check your results

ah that would explain it since I only had the rater cable in, thanks for the heads up

Any suggestions for my settings? Again it is a falcon mobo

Once you have your nand wire in I would just set boots and a cooldown period and rate it testing diffrent settings based around what has worked well for you so far.

I find on falcons the 3-way set to 0 has helped me in most cases.

Best to set 10 boots and maybe a 120 or even 60 second cooldown and run it through.

If you notice alot of HWINIT try 3way in middle

Most recent pic of rater output:

Nevermind for some reason my rater output pics are exceeding the quota:

http://i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w459/cynder9792/SS5amp7_330ohm_12v1_zpsb006663a.png

This is with dips 5&7 on, 1.2v, 3-way switch set to 330ohm/0

As can be seen, I am getting pretty inconsistent boot times. I have tried other dips 1-4 but I do not seem to be getting any better than the default 5&7 dips. I have tried the other 3-way settings and the best I got was 2 e79 errors on dips 1-5 & 7.

In addition, during the rater process I have noticed it skips post 13, 14, 17, a1 on every cycle and sometimes 19 also. On completion of most cycles I get "Panic - Alignment" on post 83 (I think). And the most fails comes from 0x022 which I saw means I am 1 past optimal boot times but when I switch to a previous dip either there is no boot or it goes past the results I am getting on default 5&7.

Any suggestions on how to improve my boot times or make them more consistent. Remove 1.2v bridge? Shorten cpu_rst wire? Or should this clear itself up more once it is in the metal shell? I ask this because I want to remove the mobo from the shell as little times as possible to access the bottom of the board, as in since I was still testing the rjtag qsb switch and have yet to even hot glue the cpu_rst wire in place in case it would make a difference in boot time. I am just trying to do this right the first time as it is my first r-jtag or any hard mods on any xbox for that matter...
