console was working fine booting between 1 and 4 glitch cycles but when i got the case back together the eject button was tweaked and not working causing me to reopen the case, after reassembling the case it would not glitch so i took it apart again and the ribbon cable move on me and was now punctured by the case mounting screw. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of what could have shorted out from the screw puncturing the ribbon cable. no visible damage and the console never gets any red rings it just sits there with a green light but never boots on stock or freeboot or xell. not sure if pics would help seeing how it was working perfect until the ribbon cable got destroyed. let me know if any pics are necessary.

To fix the POST ribbon issue, connect it to your R-JTAG PCB and the POST QSB and use a multimeter to find out which points are connected and use wires for those that aren't.

switching qsb to off did not help to boot stock nand. i assume something shorted out when the screw went through the ribbon cable. after testing with multimeter post 2 and 3 were the ones damaged if that can help anyone narrow down what could be wrong.

Turn jtag qsb to off, remove 5v wire. then flash original nand to xbox. Read nand straight back to ensure that it wrote without errors. If jr-programmer firmware is corrupted u may get false writes. post your j-runner log.

Do you realise that the console won't boot a stock NAND if the JTAG circuit is active?

To fix the POST ribbon issue, connect it to your R-JTAG PCB and the POST QSB and use a multimeter to find out which points are connected and use wires for those that aren't.
Think about it BL4KEY - it HAS to be able to. Otherwise how does a DemoN work with an R-JTAG console.

The issue is your POST ribbon. To clarify, in full POST, all 8 connections are needed, otherwise the R-JTAG cannot read the POST code properly.

OP - it HAS to do something with the original NAND written to it.

Would you like to share what you've done to fix the issue? Always handy for lots of people reading the thread with same kind of issues.

Loose replacement ribbon cable is hard to find now as far as i know, you could contact xconsoles ask them if they have spares or advice on where to get one.

I know by experince that R-jtag does work with the ribbon cables from CR3 Pro since i accidently destroyed one when i was tired and the cable stuck in front ot the HDD port. The ones from CR3 Pro are a bit longer than the stock, but as i said they work.
