Hello, I'd like to have some info about this installation !!!

I have a falcon Xbox 360 that is currently flashed under LT 3.0 ...

I would like to keep a clean stock nand, just in case (I don't play online). I'm very cautious ... The reason why isn't the problem !!!

The most important is the how !!!

I haven't found any tutorials that talk about c R-JTAG / DemoN combo !!!

If I install R-JTAG first, how will I keep my stock nand ?

If I install DemoN first, will I be able to install it without a glitch ?

From what I searched, found and read. I'll be bying the following hardware :

- R-JTAG Ultimate kit
- DemoN for phat

Is it possible to read burned isos with a glitched console and stock dvd firmware ?

Thank you guys for your help !!!

No u cant read backups with stock firmware. Otherwise whats the point of lt firmware. Install demon first and write your original nand to that. Dont even touch your mb nand

AllyNerd, thank you for your answer. But you didn't understand my question. I was asking if I can read backups with stock dvd firmware but on the glitched nand !!!

oO Elite Oo, I haven't seen any stickies talking about the R-JTAG and the DemoN install !!!

I have another question though. I couldn't find any differences between the RGH and R-JTAG method ... Which one would you advise for my falcon that is currently compatible with RGH 1 ???

Thank you anyways !!!

with the stock DVD fw, you can boot backups from FSD with a RGH NAND image yes, but not through NXE AFAIK

as soon as you update your stock side to the latest dash, you console will require RGH2/RJTAG as the cb will be split.

id go for RJTAG as RGH2.0 can be picky and have unstable boot times.

No you can not. As mentioned, you need to have hacked firmware written to read burned discs. However, as also mentioned if you RGH your console you can rip games to hdd and play them from there.

The R-Jtag is a much better option..... While RGH is cheaper, R-Jtag will boot much faster. If your console is above an RGH 1 able dash, Update to the latest dashboard and install R-Jtag, RGH2 is unpredictable at best.

RGH 1 is the cheaper option, but the demon is pointless on a rgh1 system, unless you want freeboot and rg-loader. If you would like to keep live capability update to latest dash and install R-Jtag.

I have a falcon RGH 1 too. As stated you cant use demon with rgh1 you have to update to r-jtag or rgh2 (rgh2 is not good on falcon). I chose not to ruin a good rgh1 and bought a second console to use live on.

I have looked all over and not found anything together in one place with reference to doing both R-jtag and dual nand with demon. will I still need nand-x or similar to read nand or will the demon do it. Any direction and assistance is appreciated.

Slklite. Im just about to do my dual nand and rjtag tonight (sorry for jumping in on anothers post)
I can just keep motherboard nand as stock and just use the demon
nand for r jtag. Correct and also the demon isnt directly connected to the jtag chip is it

Yes keep your 360 nand as stock - the demon nand should be RGH, to switch the RJTag off so that the retail 360 nand works, you will need to solder a pin from the Demon Cr-EN point to the RJTag En-Cr pin. Also on the Demon - fit a wire from X8 to your motherboards kiosk pin - this will allow you to switch between nands using Nandswitcher.xex (saves you getting up of your arse).

Hello and sorry to answer only now

Well that is exactly the point of the demon. To leave your stock nand intact and RGH the demon nand, which would be a copy of your xbox orignal nand (modified of course) !!!

Hope this helps !!!

I used many tutorials to understand everything properly before begining. I had some problmes with getting the demon to cummincate, but with patience I fanlly made it !!! All is good now !!!

GOOD LUCK !!!

Cheers slklite ill be dualed nanded up tonight after that verification.
if i was you i would read through the r-jtag install tut twice , then read through the demon install tut twice , then go ahead and install the demon , read your stock nand then write it to the demon , then try to see if it boots as stated above if it does you know your soldering is ok , then go ahead and install your r-jtag , remember to select demon nand in jrunner when writing hacked image , just hope your soldering is good , good luck post some pics when you have done
