R-JTAG without JTAG ALT V2.

Hi,

I am a complete noob in JTAG stuff (I'm OK in general soldering). I own a jasper with dashboard 16537.

I have ordered and received the below:

CR4 XL
QSB PHAT v3 (contains 2 parts)
JR Programmer v2

but I noticed that in all online guides, they use a 3d qsb part called JTAG ALT v2 or so. I didn't order that part

Do I need it? can i proceed without it? if yes using which guide???

Your advice is appreciated, i also posted the question on the forum.

The alt QSB makes for RJTAG + It makes for a faster start time
