I don't know if it is possible or if this the right forum, but would it possible to make a raid contoller for the xbox that could see two hard drives as one large one. This would be a sweeeeeet, add-on for your version of the xtender.
Thanks.

Don't think you could do this because the xbox dosen't have a PCI slot, which is where most(aftermarket) RAID controllers go.

There are RAID controllers that do not require a PCI slot. They basically just have an IDE interface to whatever the host machine is so they're platform independent. You just plug it in like an IDE drive. Checkout the Duplidisk products from ARCO. http://www.arcoide.com/product_overviews.php

I've been thinking about getting one for some time, but they're about $240.

That does RAID Level 1, which is mirroring one HD to another. It would make your Xbox tolerant of a HD failure, but will not increase performance or allow you to use the second drive for anything.

What you need is RAID Level 0, which is using 2 or more drives and splitting the data equally between them, thus increasing speed, but meaning that if one drive dies, all the data is lost.

RAID Level 5 would also be nice, because it has the speed benefits of Level 0 (when paired with a decent controller) and the reduncancy of Level 1. You need at least three drives to use it though, so make sure to get that Xtender...

Re: Finding someone

I had sent mightywiz a PCB board fro a new lie-on drive and he was going to extract the key from it for me so I could get it flashed. I sent him the board and I was talking to him and know that he revived the board but right after that I have not heard anything else from him so I was trying to find a way to get a hold of him thinking that maybe he had not been back on this site so I was trying to see if anyone new of another site to get a hold of him or maybe an email address that he used like at yahoo, gmail or something like that. I am just want to try and get a hold of him and either get my board back so I can get someone else to do the work or get my key so that the bran new xbox 360 that I have sitting at my house don't go to wast on me.

Re: Finding someone

I have not heard of him, so I tried to find a way to get your hands on him thinking he might not had been left on this website, so I tried to see the new person, whether a site to get their hands on him or maybe an e-mail that he used as Yahoo, Gmail or something like that.
