Random e79 on jtag?

turned off my xenon jtag to leave my house. came back and it has e79. tried unplugging ALL cords and HDD. no luck. tried reflashing back to stock. no luck. wtf?

E79 on a JTAG = GPU needs a reflow or replacement.

You can check by getting resistance values for J2D2.1 and J2D2.2. They should both be the same (either 500Ohms or 1.5k). If one of them is out, there's your problem. FYI, both these points connect directly to the GPU via 1.5k resistors.

ok, i checked both, they are both 169.5

Then you're not checking correctly.

Red probe on J2D2.1 and black on a ground point on the board.

Do the same with J2D2.2

BTW, if you remove the wiring and reflash original NAND, does it boot?

i put the red probe on the J2D2.1 and .2, with the black probe on the aluminum surrouding the HDD connector. i show 00.0 on resistance on the "200" setting. i have tried flashing back to stock. no boot. still e79

i do have another xbox. possible to transplant the gpu?
