LT-Plus 1.1 was my flashed firmware before I applied an update to my dashboard that caused the firmware to change to stock 0251, what i'm wondering now is whether I am able to reflash the drive using the key from the dummy.bin file that was saved from the previous flash? I only ask this as I don't have the a probe or any other additional hardware for the newer methods of flashing the v1 drive.

It has also been a while since my last flash which is why i'm uncertain whether its possible without the L083info method if I already know the key.

Regards, Vexxed.

You are correct reflash with your original dummy.bin... then do the M$ update. After that sit back and wait for LT 2.0 to be released shortly, after the release flash your drive with LT 2.0!

never actually tried it as i have the probe and i always like to do another dump of the key just to be sure but if you have the key and you are sure it is correct i dont see any reason why you couldnt just load lt 1.91 for liteon phat in your target fw section in jf load your key bin and spoof your key into it and flash it.

ps you cant use lo83 anyway after the ms fw update. you need to probe mpx01 now to get the key off all phat liteons but as i said if you already have your key you should be good to go

also blackhistory he has said he has already taken the update and is back to stock so he doesnt need to do any of that, also you cant flash a dummy bin it only really contains your key info etc and is not a full dump

L083info doesnt work for liteons with 0251 f/w on it. u should be able to use the dummy.bin file as ur key doesnt change.

Firstly thanks to all of you for the quick response was more like an instant message than a forum post which I appreciate very much :)

So as it stands right now i'm using my dummy.bin file with my key on it, manually selecting the Target Firmware which I think is LTPlus-025v1.91.bin? (And then clicking Spoof Source to Target) As I said before it has been a long time since my last flash, is there any other steps I need to take before hitting 'Lite-On Erase' etc.

For example under my drive properties it still says DVD Key : Not Found. Is this normal?

after you open up the dummy.bin if u click the .... to refresh ur ports ur drive should be verified.

nah u just click liteon erase then follow the steps. if u go to the tutorial in the documents folder and go to page 105, that is where it talks about the liteon erase part.

yes that normal because you havent obtained your key from it again since you plugged it in.

what you are doing is fine load the dummy bin as source, the correct lt 1.91 as target (do not autoload as your dummy bin is for an older fw version of liteon so autoload will select the wrong lt fw for you.) spoof your key from your dummy bin to your lt 1.91 in the target and then go ahead and flash it

2 more things :) I just want to be sure that i'm definately doing it right as a working xbox is worth much more to me than a broken one.

Pushing the ... still doesn't show the key, does this matter? And lastly under the FirmwareTool 32 Tab the Source and Target OSIG's do not match because the source is 8385 and the target is 0251....does this affect it or am I good to go?

Thanks in advance

I have decided to wait for a response on these last issues before flashing because in the documentation it tells me to ensure that both keys and OSIG details are the same. The DVD keys match as I spoofed to target,

But right now my Source info is...

Vendor : Lite-On
Model : DG-16D2S
Rev : 83850C
Firmware Type : L083info Extract

Source OSIG...

OSIG:[PLDS DG-16D2S 8385]

Target info is...

Vendor : Lite-On
Model : DG-16D2S
Rev : 02510C
Firmware Type : LT-Plus 1.91

Target OSIG...

OSIG:[PLDS DG-16D2S 0251]

you should be fine. 8385 turns to 0251 when it is updated.

and i guess they refreshing ports only works if u got the key from the keyDb and not a Source dummy.bin file.
