re-flash using backup bank not working

this is kinda continued from another post but ok, i have a v1.6 xbox ,i dont have controle over any of my 1mb banks they just shut off when i turn on, ive tryed reflashing the 1st 1mb bank with the new x3 bios using the backup bank but it never works, when its done flashing it shuts off like normal but when i boot back up i turns on (black screen) for a second then shuts off and stays off. do i maby have a bad bios file or somthing because it doesnt work, also i got it off of xbins. thanks





im flashing using a cd-rw also

I'm having the same exact problem as you, man. I'm probably gonna blow my brains out if I can't get it to work

Don't mean to patronise but, you're using the right bios file for your version X-Box? And you have got your switches set to the correct 1mb banks?
As stated above FTP or HTTP flash is an easier route to go (personally I prefer FTP).

what if you use the incorrect version will you a get a,

unkown flash! halting

error ??? i get that. and i hate being ignorant, but i assume i can find the correct bios for the version of xbox somewhere here? can some 1 put up a link incase i dont find it!

try xbox-scene.com, search for the tutorial for #xbins

IV finally flashed my bios, with the 3108. and i still have a black screen. now it doesnt, shut on and off when i power it up through the chip. but regardless whether the chip is on or off, its still no video, i get audio when i boot the MS, but no VIDEO, and when i boot the chip, the LCD turns on, but its blank. what now?
