Re flash v1.6 X2.3 Which Bios ect.

Hello all,

After a while away from the scene I require a little help. To try and get my dad on the net I thought I'd get him running on Linux on his Xbox.

To do this on a v1.6 I need to run a cromwell bios. So I need to reflash his X2.3 with a dual Bios setup.

I have a tool FlashX v1.2 which I'm sure I can re-flash the xbox.

The questions are.

1. What is the current Bios for a v1.6 X2.3? I read here...

That you use the Evox M8 but I'm sure thats out of date.

2. To make a dual Bios I use the X2 Bios manager and add 2X 512 size bios'

one being the bios for X2 (512) the other being the Cromwell (512)?

I hope I'm clear enough.

use x2 5035 v16 plus bios(512k)

x2bm - use two parts cromwell(256k) and one part X2_5035(512k)

you could also use dos

copy /b cromwell-256k.bin + cromwell-256k.bin + X2_5035-512k.bin mynew1mb_bios.bin

this makes bank1 boot cromwell and bank2 boot xecuter bios



copy /b X2_5035-512k.bin + cromwell-256k.bin + cromwell-256k.bin mynew1mb_bios.bin

this will boot xecuter bios on bank1 and cromwell on bank2
