re-program the Bios?

Is there a way to re-install or reprogram the Bios?
I screw up- and when I flash the bios my switches were not on on off off off and I flash it anyway ( I know I was tire and dum when I did it).

Do I need to purchase another chip or again is there a chance to re-program the Bios?

Yep, boot into your back-up bios, set your switches to the desired bank, and flash away.

you have 1.6 and not 1.6b right? If that is the case, set your switches to on on off off off then press power and eject buttons at the same time until your X3 logo on the control panel switch turns purple. This should take you to backup flashbios (version 3.0.1 which should work with 1.6 xbox)

is it possible to damge your back up bios?

when I try to boot my backup the x turns purple then it frags

I read about the hot swap but I don't think that's an option for me

the x3?that would be nice if i had access to another.
as for ms bios i think its a soldered chip so no removal.

If you have 2 xbox's with x3's I read you can boot the one that works to the flash bios and then while its still running swap the x3 chips. then flash it and I guess wahla.

If anyone knows more about the hot swap post your info. I was wondering if I could swap a bad x3 from a older xbox into a 2.6 1.6 xbox
