My xbox was collecting dust because i lost a dvd key.
I tried to read the nand from xbox jasper, but I can only see "no device found". Checked the connection with tester, but steel nothing. I use the last jtag tool. I only have 7 pins but it should be enough to read the nand. Do i need to install diodes to read the nand? And it should work with any dashboard, right?

First of all, you should check that your powerbrick is connected, otherwise you get "no flash controller found" or something like that. (Only connect it, do not turn the xbox on, that is)

if it still doesn´t work, there´s probably a bad solderjoint, so check them carefully

check to make sure your power brick is connected with orange light on the brick and you have your rol board on the xbox without those 2 it will say no flash controller detected if that fails then you either don't have the drivers installed correctly or bad soldering job what was the method of install IE- direct wire , pin headers ,qsb's? 9 times out of 10 though it is normally a bad solder joint or drivers not installed correctly as you don't need switching diodes or anything to read the nand that is only for jtag side and that does not need to be there to read the nand

No device found means your NAND-X is not recognised by your PC. Ensure that the device is installed properly and is visible in your list of installed hardware under device manager.

It works now but I don't know which nand to choose. 16, 256 or 512. Can i just read 512 nand?

What size internal memory unit does your Jasper have onboard? If it's 256MB, use the 256 switch in NandPro and if it is a 512MB memory unit, use the 512 switch.

I don't see anything. That means it is a 16mb jasper right?
