I understand that to burn XGD3 titles that I must have a Liteon iHas B or cross flashable drive. As for reading the original game discs, I need an iXtreme 0800 V3 compatible drive (Liteon or BenQ). Are there any details that I am missing as far as hardware/flashing is concerned? Thanks.

Something to power the drive while flashing/ripping. I suggest USB pro2. (simple all in one solution)

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I'm looking at the X360USB, CK3I, CK3 Probe 3, and Sputnik360 Probe so that I have a kit that covers every available drive.

burnmax payload tool and any ihas drive apart from version Y also ok for burning backups
and
x360usb pro v2 allows iso dump of retails with any xbox 360 drive without 0800 fw (drive letter assigned to windows).

Personally would go with probe 3, sputnick, ihas 124c and usb pro 2 absolutely brilliant tool for all drives (first drive dump, reflash with lt+3, took less than 5 mins for phat liteon) big plus is you dont need 0800 firmware (although it is best for ap2.5 (someone correct me if i'm wrong) you can use stock or lt+ drive, you can get ihas 124 c on amazon for £15-£20 for burning thanks to burnermax payload (alot easier to tell customers buy one than burnermax). (can get a bundle from most resellers with all bar burner.

For slim drives sputnick probe add on pcb switch a good idea if you plan on flashing multiple boxes saving need to cut and repair trace multiple times, or just the sputnick switch to use with no sputnick probe, (switchs cost next to nothing)

One thing I have also found is backups of XDG3 games seem to kill off about 50% plus of older lasers (even seemingly perfect ones) so I just swap out laser as stanard when I do a drive flash.

MOST IMPORTANT THING read junglefasher manual through good few times and have it open ready while flashing with usbpro2 if you do what manual says (lthough some drives are stubborn and you may have to rinse and repeat a couple of times) you wont have too many issues,
