One of two:

1. bad soldering

2. Corrupt NAND

Post pictures of your handy work if you could please?

If you could give us your secondary errorcode, that would be helpful too. You very likely made a short somewhere.

i will add them tonight, however i think i know what i did, most of my solders were clean and nice however the yellow was a little messy, and it looks like the solder touched the hole opersit, i have pulled the yellow wire out, and power supply goes orange again,

When i get back from work i will re do the yellow wire hopefully that will be it :)

Get rid of the short and you should be ok. Post your results.

If your PSU is still red, its no wonder that you dont get your cpu-key on screen... You have been told to post pictures - Why dont you?

Oh, and when you wanna boot Xell, you need the JTAG-wiring soldered in place.

Lol, then why tell us your gonna add them?
Anyways, not a good idea to remove the qsbs and do it all over, you could break it.

Best thing to do is check points and traces with a multimeter.

You should be getting e79 (1 red ring) if its a bad JTAG install, though. Perhaps it isn't flashed properly or something. Reflash.

And i assume your cb is good?

cb is fine, i have decided that it is the NANDX that is faulty and i have arranged for it to go back, it nolonger reads the Nand and has died

If you powered your console with the nandx in place and connected to the pc, then thats why its faulty...

Pc is no where near the tv, i did not have it connected to the pc.

so it must be faulty, i did not have the nand x plugged in

When you connect the NAND-X to the PC now, do both lights (red & orange) light up? And when you can't read or write the NAND does it say 'no device found' or 'could not detect flash controller'?

Doesn't sound to me like a problem with the NAND-X at all then .. But if you already arranged for a replacement then lets wait till you get your new one.

If the box is rrod before you flash with xell, it's still going to be rrod after. You have a hardware issue.

Before i wrote Xell i fixed the rrod with the XCLAMP replacement and everything booted to the dash.

it is not red now, it just sits there just with the centre light green, it does not boot to show keys or show any kind of dashboard.
