Really bad layer 1 (2nd layer) kprobe results

So I have had a couple of failed verifications with imgburn. They were failing at 50% and a few were at 96%. Because of this I started doing kprobe scans, my scans show a large fat spike at 50% then it stays high and peaks again around 96%.

so 0%-about 45% is very low (within stated requirements) then the huge spike and it does not go anywhere near where it should then the 96 percent is almost as high as 50%

these are mkm 001's

has anyone had similar failures, is there a fix, or a recommended setting?

I purchased a replacement, but if I can replace the laser or reflash the drive to fix it I would like to do that.

ok I will flash stock then burner max again and try another disk. then if needed start alteration to the settings

ok I did the reflash and no change, I have a verify fail at 50%

I turned on OPC and I have a failure at 50%

I think I will turn that off, and then try changing eeprom settings
