Hey,
What did you lock it with?

Your PC won't pick it up just by plugging it in. You have to get ATAPWD and make a bootdisc from it.
You can get it from www.xbox-scene.com/tools/? Probably hard drive apps or something like that.

Also, MartinC was going through this with someone not too long ago. You can do a search for his posts. I think if ATAPWD doesn't work alone you may need to get LIVEINFO. Also available on www.xbox-scene.com and load your eeprom info into that to generate an unlock code.

The main thing it to remain calm!!

You may have to take it off cable select and set it to master.

Also, you do realise ATAPWD is a dos program right? That's why you need to boot up with it.

You never answered how you locked it in the first place!

Hey xbins is up go to the PC section and get HDD UNLOCK and UNLOCKX and try them.

You need to read this:

Also these programs should be run in a pure dos environment but you can probably run them from the RUN button type CMD to get to dos.

DIR= directory, lists everything in current directory
CD=change directory. CD..(CD dot dot) goes back one directory. CDfile name changed directory to the one named.

To execute a program type program name.
You must be in directory that program is in or type full subdirectory listing in command.
Example:
You can type c:\evox\hddunlock\hddunlock.exe
or
cd evox, cd hddunlock, then type DIR to get all file listings in hddunlock folder then type hddunlock.exe

You may want to google dos for more info.

Damn! I must be getting old if I still remember dos commands!
