I have this D0/LAN/HDD wire problem that occured when I trimmed the wire a little bit due to sodder. But the frikeist thing is happening. When I use that wire, the xbox will frag (3 times on and off works w/o chip) But when I sodder a new set of wires all is good. I tried a couple of times to strip the wire but no go. The new wires look like there is only one wire comming out, but after stripping, there are multiple wires. I also tried tinning the wire so all of the little ends are together instead looking like hairs while soldered to the d0 point. I guess my question is how can I fix this wire. Cause I used up all of my chips and I have only one x3 left without a working d0 wire. Also is there anyway to solder the d0 wire directlly to the chip. I was thinking about soldering my own 30awg kynar wire to the pin where the plug goes in? Any tips?

Far from here!
I would just add some more wire to the existing d0 wire and solder it together then solder it to the board.

dont get me wrong, I have enough lenght on the original wire. Its just that the stripped ends dont seem to be good for some wild reason. (maybee because they are split) I havnt tried adding my wire yet, but I thought about it. But I cam to the conclusion that if the stripped ends dont transfer good signal, then adding/extending wire wouldnt work out either.
