[UK] Reball Xbox 360 elite - Gloucestershire are if possible.

Hi all

I have recently bought an xbox 360 elite on ebay as working however on receipt I played for a while to check all was working however it locks up after about 10-15mins of playing Crysis/Brink/COD4. No RROD (2 or 3), won't return to dashboard either, just freezes completely. Talked to the seller about returning it but he won't refund postage which will leave me £22.77 out of pocket and nothing to show for it!

I'm thinking this is probably a GPU issue and thought to play it on the safe side and get the console reballed. Are there any reputable techies in the Gloucestershire/UK area that can do this for me for a decent price?

Console has never been opened but is most likely out of warranty. Dashboard version is 13599. Cheers.

Thanks flashing360, I actually saw your website through the modding services thread, looks good.

I have sent another email back to the seller. I take issue with having to pay return postage, DSR states that if the items are sold as working and arrive faulty you should be given a full refund and reimbursed for all delivery charges. This supercedes ebay and paypals rule of having to pay return postage regardless.

Why should I be out of pocket for the cost of return delivery when the item is faulty!? It would be different if I changed my mind I accept that but it doesn't work. I have a feeling he has sent me the wrong power brick for the console also as the 3 pin lead doesn't fit very well in the the brick.

What do you guys think?

I know of very few online sellers and retailers who pay for return shipping even if the item is defective. The only retailer that I have bought from was amazon. Just return it and use snail mail if you want to save on cash.

If you return an ebay item you will need to have tracking and a signature to prove the item was returned, before they refund your money.Always make sure you send it to the paypal verified address and not some secondary address that the seller gives you. Another trick by sellers to get the item back and not have to refund you.

If he won't take it back, You could try RROD FIX on the GPU, Maybe the thermal paste is dried up, Repaste it with quality stuff and then do a 12volt fan mod on it

Changing the thermal paste can do alot, I have a jtag supposedly reballed, When I got it XEX Menu showed the temps running in the 60's and 70's, It flashed RROD on me, I removed the heatsinks and there was the black gritty sh*t on there, I cleaned it which took alot longer than normal paste then changed the paste and now running in the 40's working fine
