You need to prove XeLL/Xellous working before progressing.

Unless there's a fault with the GPU, if you have XeLL working, you'll get Freeboot working.

Unless I've missed it, I've still not seen you get a successful boot into XeLL.

Its been hit or miss with getting Xell to run. I re-downloaded the clean NAND and used BinCrypt to encrypt the donor KV and inject it into the fresh NAND. I switched the resistor switch to "Off" and flashed the new NAND only to result in 0020. You may be right it might be human error but I'm not too sure what I'm doing wrong.

I was trying to get the console at the very least to boot normally so I could try and start over. However that didn't work.

I flashed Xell and Xellous and with the resistor switch and jumper on 330 it threw an E79 1033 once again. With the switch on 0 or 470 it threw 0020.

If you have a multimeter, set it to KOhms and put the black point on a ground spot and red on J2D2.1 and then J2D2.2. They should both be the same value. You don't need the board plugged in.

Can you let me know what values you get?

Was that with the cable connected to that QSB?

If so, can you try with it removed? Ideally it would be better to remove the QSB completely but that could be too much hassle!

ok, so J2D2.1 has gone from 340 to 503. I would expect them to be both the same, so resolder but use minimal amount for now, just enough to make contact. If you have flux, use it :)

Once done, leave the QSB cable disconnected and measure again.

Looks like I burnt up the pad on J2D2.2 on the QSB not completely gone but its a pain in the butt to get solder to stick. Not too sure if its from removing the solder this last time or a time before. I may just head down to Radioshack to buy another pack of transistors. Maybe that is the reason why I have had trouble getting it to work. Nevertheless if that doesn't work then I guess I'll need to order another QSB.

As long as the point on the motherboard is ok, you should be fine.

I'd personally just cut the wires off the connector, strip and pre-tin and solder directly into the holes. I'd then bridge J2D2.4 & J2D2.7 for now as it should still work. TBH the QSBs are ok as long as you've not shorted anything out of sight!

Make sure that J2D2.1 goes to DVD_Tray and J2D2.2 goes to AUD_Clamp.

If this is the case, one of the diodes might be faulty. BAT41 or 1N4148 should be used in replacement.

You could also try a 330Ohm resistor between J2D2.4 and J2D2.7

An updated pic of your install might also be useful.
