I purchased a cool runner from xconsoles and well it wont program.

im using the nand-x to CR cable, Nandx with 3.0 F/W and cool runner

Im not a beginner when it comes to these ive done several.

I took it out of the box(which was damaged through shipping) and plugged it in no red light or green light when i put the CR on normal. When i switch it to the programming setting it wont program through Jtag tool.

Any reason y it wont program?

I had this problem. It was because I did not push the cable to the nadx in far enough. It will go almost all the way in where you can barely see the connector. Dont be afraid to push it in.

Make sure you turn switch on on ck3i manually and lights will light up.

Also saw other posts that said the wires where in backwards on some of the cables.

Just by chance did you install the drivers for the NAND-X correctly? Mine showed up fine but had to reinstall them a second time.

One of our nand-x's port was soldered one pin off so the update cable wouldn't work for us.
If you open your nand-x and look at the solder points for the long plug make sure pin 1 is solder onto pad 1.

Hope you understand what I mean i.e. on ours pin 1 was actually solder to pad 2. Pad 1 had nothing soldered to it. We ended up just soldering the cable directly onto the correct pads
