This is not my first time doing a flash, but since I have such a small number of posts I have to post here. My cousin brought me his box. It's a 16D2S that has been spoofed as an 0079 Hitachi. Current dashboard is 13146. He wants to play the newer games (Dragon's Dogma), so he was wanting me to update the flash. I've been trying to get the original key from JungleFlasher all morning but to know avail. I used my probe 3 did a phat key extraction but I receive extraction failed every time. Is there a better way to go about it? Should I just try and update the dash and let it flash the drive back to stock and go from there?

Thanks in advance,

-Dom

Turn off drive, probe MPX01, press and hold probe button, power on drive, release button, remove probe, done.

That's usually what I do. Haven't had a problem yet. I also disconnect the laser ribbon since there are reports of the laser giving out occasionally during the probing.

I now have an inquiry.bin and a key.bin, but I can't load either one into the source file. As it says they must be 256kb.

EDIT: These are the only two files that I received. I didn't get an identify.bin or serial.bin. Should I try to dump again?

You only need key.bin
