Recovery Help Dazed and Confused

To say the least, and dazed and confused. I have an xbox with evox, avalaunch, some bios in the bios folder (x3 bios), all in my C: drive of my harddrive. I used my xecuter 3 and it worked just dandy. NOW I TRIED TO PUT LINUX ON IT AND HOLY $#@%! To say the least things were screwy. I finally got to the point where my evox would load up and my xecuter mod chip still worked. So i was still a little happy, even though i had linux-flash ware on my bios. So then i went to reflash my bios with xecuter bios. First i wanted to clear the modchip. I picked up some stupid program, put it on my xbox, and started clearing. THEN ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE BECAUSE IT FROZE DURING THE REFLASH AND I HAVE NO BIOS ON MY MODCHIP WHAT SO EVER! IT JUST FRAGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN! I cant get into my back up bios as well, dont know why, i could b4, but the last time i tested it was about 3 months ago and its been moved around alot since then, i mean, ALOT. HELLLLLP!!!!!

hell if i know. Hotswapping huh, who the hell thinks of these names? Why not just call it modchip swapping, makes more sence and people would quit asking what hotswapping is. ANYHOW i dont have a friend with a modded xbox so i'm out one xectuer modchip.. damn!

Modchip swapping could mean just changing it while its off. Hotswap is to swap while its hot and running!

Just to note:
You didn't need to reflash any linux bioses to install Linux and if you do switch to another bank!

There are several methods of installing linux, read all the HOWTOs and pick which one is best for you.
I prefer just to FTP the files and run it like an app from the dashboard.
