[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]Hi,
I've flashed my X2.6 chip with X2.5032+FlashBiosv303 twice now. These are the symptoms:
1) Flash
2) Everything works well.
3) Leave running overnight and reboot
4) Dead.
5) Let cool off
6) Reboot
7) Dead
8) Flash (again)
9) reboot
10) Play gamess
11) Leave running overnight and reboot
12) Dead.
13) Let cool off
14) Reboot
15) Dead

Is it possible that a bad image file from a game could cause this to happen?

The BIOS protection feature through the switch set is always enabled when this happens.

Any ideas? I've verified that it's not a hard drive problem and the xBox worked with no issue prior to the mod. Rebuilding isn't diffucult, I just don't want to have to do this on a daily basis.

Thanks

Highly unlikely....

as for the rest, f**k only knows, sorry

edit: try a different bios, evox m7 or an older x2 bios.

Why are you leaving it running all night?

Get 5035 and try flashing again.

5030 didn't solve the problem, neither did a bunch of other older versiosions of BIOS. Reloaded 5032
Swapped the mod chip with the mod chip in another box
Played all last night
Shut down the machine
Dead this morning
Same machine as before, different mod chip.
Solderless connector (so it isn't my soldering)

It could be the way you installed the adaptor. Do you have an Xbox with the LPC holes filled with solder? If so, you should clean the LPC area with a Q-tip and a small amount of nail polish remover to assure good contact.

Thanks again. I hadn't thought of the nail polish remover to clean the contact area of the top coat, I'll hit it again tonight. It should work, at least for 1 night!!!!!!
