Hey sorry to open this thread again guys, but i just took one of my boxes out to update, and its giving me a RED LOWER RIGHT FLASHING LIGHT on Boot, no error messages on screen.

Same as above,

FALCON, 12625 Dash, using NAND X with Alt SMC Points as were shown.

Now for some reson the console will not boot but for this red light, is was working fine last time i used it, i have checked all wiring and it looks sound, only thing if i flash back to the old original NAND the machine boots, ive tried making new nands and using the backed up 12625 that was working before but same thing, cant boot into xell either, so i can only asume its a jtag issue.

What the hell?? confused.

I've moved your post to a new thread. It's a totally different issue.

Can you show a pic of your soldering? I know it's been a while, but you may have developed a dry joint somewhere.

Can you unplug the cable going to J2D2's QSB and get a resistance reading on J2D2.1 and J2D2.2? Just put the black probe on a ground point. You don't need the console plugged in.

Ok i put the meter on the 2K setting, checking the resistors i get the correct value from both.

Across ground and these pins both read 1.560 ???

No I didn't but the box was already running 12625 fine, but it had not been used in a while, just red light next time I turned it on, it's not been played or nothings been loaded. It's actually my 3rd jtag box, I have a cygnos for main and 2 NAND x backups.

Let me know how to check them and I'll let you know, I'm 100% it's not efuses, just can't see how it can be if it has not been used, I was thinking maybe a diode is shot or the qsb board was faulty. Don't currently have spare diodes but if these turn out to be faulty then I'll sure order some.

Why wud it be the GPU, even though when i flash to the old NAND it boots first time every time?.

Because the GPU under normal operation isn't listening to the TDI and TMS lines.

Trust me - you can have a perfectly working console with a faulty GPU.
