Have you tried the topside cpu reset point as per the instructions
Yeah I tried top side as well I tried aud clamp and standard jtag setups and as far as dips I tried 7 and 8 always on then tried 4 then 5 but none of the others but the red led on the rjtag board is always on as soon as I just connect 5v and gnd only then the light is already on and always stays on but with stock NAND if I remove 5v wire I can regular Xbox is that red led mean there's something wrong with the rjtag chip are there fuses or any drivers for it?

the red light means your r-jtag board is gettting power and it should always be on.. its the green light that is important and it should be flashing on and off every few seconds..

there are 6 dips, 3 voltage settings and 3 resistance settings .. have you gone through all of them one by one as per the guide ? it is normal for the console to RROD from time to time while you're tuning it.

I would start with aud_clamp, 470 ohms, dips 4,7,8 and default voltage.. go through all the dips and if none work, change voltage to 1.2v and go through dips again.. and so on.

also, you don't have a pic of your jtag qsb

Yea if you havnt went through all the dips you may not have a problem.

Watch this video near the end once the chip is installed and as you see he gets rrod every boot until its tuned

Can you paste your POST results?

Oh ok I'll try all the dips I didn't realize they were that important so I will start from the beginning and try again I thought because of all the rrod I was getting that something somewhere was wrong but this is my first time doing any sort of 360 modding and I have been doing all sorts of research and reading all I can but at a certain point I think reading to much without a definite answer some of the different post seem to clash with each other and then I was just ?eft wondering what to think for sure but thanks for at least letting me know the red light was a good thing that much have been y I didn't ever see any posts about it apparently im probably the only one that didn't know that lol thanks for ur help

As for the jtag qsb for some reason I was having issues getting it to upload so I wasn't able to post it before I left for work and for the POST result I ran outta time for that as well but I will post them up here shortly

which guide exactly are you talking about that goes over all them one by one and do I do that during the rater system to fine tune I believe.

i just went thru with aud clamp option enabled and with no voltage jumper i left 7 and 8 dips on and tried 4-6 then 1-3 and the last one i tried with was 7, 8, and 3 xel reloaded FINALLY BOOTED. I cant thank all you guys enough for ur help i just wish now that i would have asked for it soon before i already ruined my falcon board by soldering, desoldering and then resoldering stuff that didnt need need to be. Becuse i was at the stage where it was glitching but i did not try all the dips as i thought they were only to make ur boot times faster i didnt fully understand that not having the right dip switches would keep it from booting and red ring it. Oh well live and learn i would have done it all over again the same way if i had to because i just love to tinker with anything electronic that i can.

Glad you got it working. Due to some chips like the proto pretty much being plug and play I think a lot of people dont realise the importance of the dips on the rjtag. Have fun with your unlocked xbox :)
I have been reading the forums some more and watching YouTube video about what to do now that I have xell installed and boot times down but I am getting confused on what freeboot and xexmenu are or the differences between them or which 1 I need or both could you or any 1 help clear up what my next steps are. I have been looking around a lot I just don't want to do anything to mess up my system now that I got it all setup and booting properly thank a bunch for everyone's help so far.

The Rjtag guide on this site and jrunner PDF tell u the next steps after xell. 'freeboot' is your unlocked NAND/dash that u write with jrunner and xex menu allows u to access the xbox's real file structure. Have fun.

With your nand dumps and cpu key (which you get from xell) loaded in to jrunner click create xebuild image. Once complete press write image to write the new image to your nand. then turn on your console and xbox should boot to dash.
