So I have a zephyr here that I was doing the RGH hack on. I got everything installed and wrote the ECC to the nand flashed the coolrunner all that good stuff.
I then booted the console and it sat and tried to glitch for probably a good minute before it went 3RROD error 0002. I shut it down and double checked all my solder point to ensure nothing came free and all checked out. I then booted it again and it again tried to glitch for about 20 seconds untill the console just shut down and I got red light on the power brick. Now everytime I hit the power button the brick goes instant Red light and the console looses power. I've tried 2 different power bricks so far.

Correct me if I'm wrong (fingers crossed that Im wrong) but does it sound like the CPU just toasted out on me or what?

Pics of my work! How about a video? I'll upload it shortly. I was actually using this console for a Video tutorial for Phat RGH install. Bummer it ended this way....

People should know by now that my soldering is sound but I will indulge everyone.

These photos are also in my Albums under Red brick. As far a solder splash no it doesnt happen to the best of us! Considering I was recording the entire install I can rewatch the video and see that I did Not have any solder splash what so ever.

I didn't make the mistake of having the coolrunner on program! All the same even with it on program it wouldnt cause the brick to go red.

Update: Just for the sake of trouble shooting I did write back the Retail nand and the console still does the same thing.

I dont know much about this console. I had just gotten it in the other day. When I got it i was told it was a RROD console. It did bootup but the fans would increase in speed and it would quickly go to RROD. I did change the thermal paste which was old and dried up. I tested the console out before starting to RGH it and it would boot and run fine. Only ran it about an hour after changing the paste but the fans never reved up and it never went red ring or anything.

I also tested the console after soldering on the QSBs to ensure I didnt mess up (common practice for me) and it booted fine. I installed the Coolrunner and left it on program and tested it and it booted fine.

I've looked the board over several times and can find anything shorting out. This is why I asked if its possible that the CPU just gave out on me.

Aight so I just removed the RGH install. Now I've pulled out several Power bricks to try. The original power brick that I was using still does the same thing. If I power on the console the brick goes to red light and the console does nothing not ever rrod. Second power brick I tried the console will show 3 RROD error 0001 (Note with this brick I was using standard AV wires), the third power brick I tried when I plug the console in (dont even turn it on) the light on the power brick sits and quickly flashes from orange to green none stop. When I try to power the console it still does nothing.

Again I've looked over the USB ports found no shorts. I checked all the plugs (ethernet, HDMI, USB (front and back) AV plug and power port. I cant find any shorts there.
I've scanned the entire board without finding anything out of place.

Update. I've changed nothing, all I've done since last post was look at it. Now when I plug it in the Original power block goes red as soon as it clicks in. I dont even have to press the power button now. The one other brick still does the thing with the Flashing orange and green real fast and you can hear the block ticking.
