LITEON DG-16D2S Reflashing my Drive Help

Hi, I have a Jasper Xbox 360 that has a Lite On DG-16-D2S Drive which I flashed a long time ago. I dont have the dummy.bin or any of the files from flashing it.

I want to update the drive to the lastest LT Firmware. I currently have the following equipment:

1. Do I need any new equipement in order to reflash my drive? if so what equipement?

2. The Xbox is currently on Dashboard: 2.0.8955.0, I wish to update it to the lastest firmware. I have heard this will change the drive, as I dont have the dummy.bin for the drive I cant return it to stock before updating. Will it break the drive if I update it? as it has LT flashed to it?

3. Do I need to update the Dashboard before I flash the drive with the lastest LT firmware.

4. Do I need my old dummy.bin in order to reflash my drive.

5. Can someone recommend a guide for me to use in order to reflash my drive. Also if I can use my old equipement can someone recommend a guide which uses that.

Thanks for the quick replay, for 2. you said I need the complete fw pack what is this been away from the scene for a long time? + I dont have a key? what do you mean by key? Key.bin? I dont have a key.bin. Also what will happen if I just update my xbox 360 to the lastest dash will that make my drive back to stock do I need this complete fw pack?

I did state what lite on drive I have it is: DG-16-D2S.
Lite on FW Ver: 74850C

1. Do I need to update my probe in order to reflash my drive? can I just buy a probe 3 and use it with current equipment?

2. I dont have a dummy.bin file as stated in my first post do I need to follow a guide in order to get it?

3. How do I extract the dummy.bin and will I find this stock firmware folder if I do?

4. Cant I use this complete fw pack that chewyb was talking about in order to return firmware to stock?

u can update your current probe with a conversion cable or u can buy a probe v3.

u NEED a probe v3 to get your dummy.bin if your console is updated past a certain dash, i THINK.

i must of missed the bit were you said it was a 74850C
follow this to get your dummy file.

buy a probe 3 it will work with what you already got.

you will need to get the complete fw pack yes.it has all the firmware you'll need.

when returnin your drive to stock use the orig-74850C-1a000 in the LiteOn (Phat)\LiteOn_Pre_13141 folder.

you can find the firmware pack in xbins or the normal places

Thanks for the help so far, one final question can I return my drive to stock with my current equipment or will I need a probe 3 to do that.
