Reflashing stock.. lite-on MTK question

Have this box flashed with 1.1 and I'm going back to stock to update since we haven't even powered it up for a year+.

I don't think I saved a copy of my OFW, but I have all my keys (Dummy.bin) and a downloaded stock fw for my DG-16D2S.

My question is: In JF > MTK Flash > Drive Properties it has "DVD Key: Not Found". I'm 99% sure this is normal, but I just wanted to make sure before I flash back to stock. Is this due to it being a lite-on and needing the probe?

Ok flashed back to stock and did the dash update... OFW version is 74850c.

Now I am trying to flash 3.0 ... load my dummy as source. Which 3.0 fw do I use? I thought all the 74850c's used the LTPlus-0251-v3.0.bin, but when I try to spoof it doesn't want to mess with the ID or drive serial...

Is this normal or am I using the wrong target fw?

In other words, shouldn't there be a target firmware version 7485?? I don't understand this part.

That is correct, assuming your console is running the latest dashboard (15574).

The OSIG for phat Lite-On drives was changed to 0251 after the 1314x update.

Ok that must be it, because *just* updated to 15574 using stock fw. So basically just ignore these ID/Serial messages and I'm safe to flash?

Just as a note, the downloaded stock fw that I just loaded to do the updates were from a loong time ago. Should I have downloaded an "updated" stock firmware before updating, or was the "original" stock fw fine for a dash update? Not sure what dash version I had before I just updated it.

Got spooked for a sec, first backup I put in wouldn't read -- disk was dirty ;x

Cleaned off and booted fine. Took an XVal reading and it turned up clean. Is XVal still viable?

Only tried 1 backup and I believe its saved to the HD -- it worked. Would this matter?
