reflashing the bios via cd

hey all, i have downloaded the latest bios, and am trying to reflash the bios. i have the original x3 dashboard, and select BIOS TOOLS >> FLASH MAIN ROM >> LOAD BIOS FROM DVD-ROM with the cd inplace (with a 200mb dummy file, and bios.bin). switchs set to on on off off off.

the bar comes up but then nothing happens.

am i doing it right? or is there another way

il try burning the cd again...

if you have network access just copy ther bios file to the xbox hdd, and select flash from hdd, easier than wasteing disks.

i would prefer to do it by cd, as i havnt got a cross over cable, so networking would not be too straight forward. using cdrws so not an issue.

the xbox wont read cdrw, use dvd or cdr
