Refusing to FlashBIOS

So I attempted to Flash Bank 1234-1MB threw 5678-1MB and with the system on switch it to 1234-1MB method with a downlaoded RAR file on a compliant CD\DVD with NERO. unsuccessful, it promted the "WARNING FLASHINGBIOS DONT TURN OFF" screen then in the proccess stop short and never recieved "ROX MY BOX" screen. so I turned it back on and the EJECT button flashed three times and no screen/no video, lost both 1MB Banks so then I attempted to reaccess my 1MB Banks with the method and I can't remeber threw the 256k Bank or 512k Bank but all I'am left with now is BANK 4 (BLUE LITE). still have Backup ROM (PURPLE LITE) and have established HTTP:\\ and obtained FlashFXP files.

Use the form below to update the BIOS of your modchip via webserver. WARNING! It will use the file you upload to replace the contents of the currently selected 1MB bank (For X2 mods it will simply start flashing from the beginning of bank 1 - your bios needs to ideally be 512k (2 x 256k) - that way if you mess up you can switch to bank 2 and get back to FlashBIOS v3.0.0). Make sure you have read all the documentation before flashing.
The file uploaded was not 262144, 524288 or 1048576 bytes. Refusing to flash.
Select BIOS File:
Xecuter 3 Bios Bank Switches
1MB Bios Banks
Bank 1234: on on off off
Bank 5678: off on off off
When switch is disconnected the X3 defaults to 1MB Bios (Banks 1234)

Ok since my last Thread have seem to have lost my original Banks 12345678 (BLUE LITE) waiting in Idile till I hear back from some one before I do any thing else. Especially my Backup Banks (PURPLE LITE).

have you got a v1.0 to v1.5 or a v1.6 xbox
x3 3294 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x3 3294 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs
did you unrar the rar file before using it
boot into backup bank set switch to on on off off off then flash with right bios
did you rename it to BIOS.BIN when you burnt it to dvd-r or cd-rw
cd-r dont work
if you can do a network flash do it that way

I have a v1.6 not v1.6b
no at first attempt I Downloaded the file from the TEAMXecuter Tutorial.com changed it the v1.6 to BIOS.BIN and I can't remember but I believe I tried to load the v1.6b I know I have the 3.0.1 and 3.0.3 from the Tutorial.com, set my Banks (POWER ON) to off on off off Bank 2 (THEN ON) swichted then to your settings on on off off Bank 1("refered from anothed .com").

UnRAR the RAR, changed file to BIOS.BIN if that is what you mean.

Since then have established router for HTTP:\\ for Flashing, but some how screwed that up by tring to go threw a 512k setting Bank 4 to get to a Bank setting of 1MG, which now won't even allow me into any of my Back up Banks.

Please advise.

what happens when you try backup bank (power eject at same time to get flashbios 3.0.1)
the bios files you are downloading are from #xbins are they not
when you downloaded it it came as a rar file you have to unrar / unzip it to find two x3 bios
x3 3294 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x3 3294 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs
boot into backup bank then change if not all ready done to on on off off off then flash with x3 bios

Ok disreguard last Thread I'am able to get to the Backup Banks, THX.......

So I "did" hold down both power/eject at the same time was able to access Backup 1MG Backup Bank (PURPLE LITE) with on on off off off, I did not or was not sure if I had the HDD unlocked so I unlocked it, it went from PURPLE to BLUE LITE on the bank switch (advise: me if this is normal action that happens from Backup and if so should I continue to upload on BLUE LITE or have it so the PURPLE LITE is the one I Upload to Bank setting on on off off off), have X3_3294 looking for a v1.6/v1.6b version from #xbins.

Once I have the proper advise and correct v1.6\v1.6b X3 Bios I will Upload it threw a Router with the file stored on USB\Flash Card I do not want any other info to clog up my Banks, and I find the file(s) easier in the Browser on the HTTP:\\Flash BIOS 3.0.1 website then instead of making a Compliable CD\DVD.

IS THIS NOT ADVISED:
So from my last Thread are you able to turn on your Xbox from Banks 5678 off on off off off then while your Xbox is on switch to Banks 1234 on on off off off, meaning by doing so is it just going to store it in the Bank you turned it on with Banks 567&8 or should I just figure it out with my BLUE LITE and PURPLE LITE question?

do a network flash http
flash chip
reboot
done

Extract/Unrar X3_3294.rar

Obtain X3_3294_v16plus.bin
Since this is the correct bios for Xbox version 1.6

Cannot seem to find the X3_3294_v16plus.bin in the FlashFXP directory.

From reading past Tutorials, I'am to change a FlashBIOS_v303 into BIOS.bin, is this the one that is v1.6\v1.6b.

I'm not sure what you're finding so hard in all of this.

Can you confirm the following:

1. You've downloaded X3_3294.rar from Xbins.
2. You've used WinRAR and extracted the file.
3. You've located X3_3294_v16plus.bin from the contents of the RAR file above.

Don't do anything else unless you can confirm you've gotten this far.

the x3 3294.rar file at xbins has the x3 3294 v16 plus bios inside it you use winrar to unpack it (unrar unzip) once you do this you will see two bios files x3 3294 and x3 3294 v16 plus
now boot to backup bank (power eject at same time)
do a http flash (have xbox networked to PC)
find the x3 3294 v16 plus file then flash (have switch set to ON ON OFF OFF OFF)
once its done flashing the xbox will turn off
now reboot xbox with a very very fast tap of the power button or just use eject to power it up
done you will see xecuter rox my box at bottom of screen if flash was ok

1. Yes have X3_3294.rar in my possession that I Downloaded from Xbins.
2. Did not use WinRAR (unaware), do not have WinRAR.
3. Did not locate X3_3294_v1.6plus.bin, (need WinRAR to exract).

"Once I have successfully extracted X3_3294_v1.6plus.bin from X3_3294.rar file, I will be back to let you know that I have complied with MARTIN_C's directions, then to hopefully be compliable to attempt DJBOOBY's direction."

Be right back looking into obtaing a WinRAR Program.

Type 'winRAR' into any search engine and you'll find it within one hit.

Once you've extracted the RAR file, it'll all make sense

I have it.

CONFIRMING:
1. Yes have X3_3294.rar (the one with the 3 BOOKS) that I Downloaded from Xbins.
2. I did use WinRAR (as recommended by TEAMXecuter Tutorial).
3. I did locate X3_3294_v1.6plus.bin.

Now do I need to rename X3_3294_v1.6plus.bin to say BIOS.bin, to then Upload it to my Xbox, and hope if I was successfull to see appear on my screen "ROX MY BOX".

Ok.

No I'am doing a http flash.

Tried to flash FlashBIOS 3.0.1 Network Flashing screen, Bank setting on on off off off changed file name to say BIOS of not BIOS.bin to make it smaller and got after I hit the Upload and Flash button I recieved:

Got BIOS image over HTTP, 1048576 bytes
Unknown Flash! Halting

I used the X3_3294_v1.6plus.bin file I extracted from X3_3294.rar file.

are you reading anything im posting you don,t rename it if you doing a http flash just use x3 3294 v16 plus as it is

Ok got everything setup turned Xbox on no off off off went into Network Flash screen, set file X3_3294_v1.6plus.bin threw Browse... button, hit Upload and Flash Button and....whala'

Got BIOS image over HTTP 1048576 bytes
Unknown Flash! Halting

Do as DJ says and DO NOT RENAME THE FILE! If you still get unknown flash, make sure the right protect switch on the chip is off (if you're unsure, try it in the other position). If it still doesn't work, unplug the external switch and try again: since the X3 defaults to on on off off off with the chip removed, you can eliminate it.

I sincerely hope that once you've flashed this correctly, you'll spend the time on reading the guides on what to do next....
