Remotes won't register? Can't use them.

Hey guys:

It's an xbox360 Slim Trinity. The remotes don't turn on the xbox. I can turn it on using the on/off button and I get to the main screen, but remotes aren't registering and therefore not working. Batteries are new. When I turn on the xbox, the green lights are not spinning in a circle searching for the remotes. I can make the remotes search for the xbox, but they don't find it either. I tried both remotes. Am I not doing something??

Could be your RF board that is faulty. Try to connect using a charging cable if u have one. Is it a fat or slim console.

Is the RF board the little 1"x1" usb board that fits in the back lefthand side when the case is removed? Also, it's a Trinity Slim xbox. What is a charging cable and how would I hook it up to test it?

I ran out and bought one. Still is not seeing it? Not sure if it has to charge for a while first. Charging up now. I'll post back in a couple of hours.

It doesn't have to be charged. In fact, the battery doesn't even have to be it it.

It's the rf board that is at fault here. The rf board is the board with the ring of light on it.
