I accidently removed my Evox.ini and evoxdash.xbe from my C drive, now I can't get to the dashboard at start up. How can I get to my hard drive and install it back? I'm using FlashFXP to transfer files from my computer to my xbox.
I know that on Xecuter 3 chip....you can press the white button on start up and it will take you to "config live". Which will enable you to FTP to the xbox from your computer. Can I do anything like that on the 2.6 chip?
you will need a to make a boot dvd or better yet do yourself a favor download Auto installer deluxe 3 update it to AID3.0.3 then install a newer upto date dash like XBMC or avalunuch evox is old and out of date
If that doesn't work, open your bios file in Xbtool and change the default boot item to what you renamed your BIOS to, then flash it to your chip with the LPT programmer.
Thanks DJ and edwin for your help. I was trying to replace the old Evox dashboard with Avalaunch...but when I rebooted, I couldn't get to the dashboard. At start up, the Evox logo shows up on the top left side of the screen, then goes to the microsoft dashboard and I have no way to FTP from my computer to the Xbox (or I just don't know how) so that way I can install the original Evox dashboard that I saved before removing it.
Thanks for the advice Mohawk....I did save the old dashboard to my computer, but deleted it from my "C" drive on the xbox. I installed Avalaunch to the "C" drive, but it never booted up (it just booted straight to the microsoft dash). Which now will not let me FTP cause it won't let me go to the dashboard.
your useing the wrong bios evox m8 bios use x2 5035 then go into x2config ini file and change the boot prioty to boot to avalanuch then ftp it over to E:/ folder of xbox then it will boot to avalanuch
