removing jtag

Hi can anyone advice me basically my sons xbox is jtagged & I connect to xlink with it but now I want to remove the jtag so I can have an official xbox as my son now wants to go on xbl now I know what to do but will the xbox be banned from xbl now as I dont want to waste an xbox by not being able to go online as its on the old dash at the mo plus its a xenon mb

Do you still have the original NAND dump for the console?

Remove the JTAG wiring and flash that NAND dump back to your console, that will take it back to a retail state.

Once you have done that, you should be able to take the console on XBOX Live, update the dashboard and enjoy on-line play again .

Oh just a quick one should I wipe my hdd and do a cache clear b4 or after rewriting nand back

You can do it before or after, it shouldn't really matter.

Why not sell it or swap it for a std console? Even with RGH being available, I hate to see old dash Xbox's being updated
