renaming games

when i ftp'd a few games to my xbox the names are a bit odd. some are all capitals n some say other things. is there a way to rename the xbox title on the hard drive??

If you have XBMC you can change them...

You can also change them with your FTP program

The dashboard will get the title from the xbe, not the folder. So there really isn't a need to rename the folders. But, you can rename the folders if you wish. Just use your FTP program.

wat is the name of the file that needs to be renamed. an example is that splinter cell chaos theory says "splinter ceLL-CT vs" n i just want it to say splinter cell chaos theory. cheers

Chances are it's the file called...

splinter ceLL-CT vs

Here's your sign!

Naw, in the first folder for the game there is a .xbe file... in this case

splinter ceLL-CT vs.xbe

Just change that to

Splinter Cell - Chaos Theory.xbe

and you'll be good to go!

i looked in that folder just now with flashfxp and qwix. there is no file called
"splinter ceLL-CT vs.xbe" there are various others tho:
dashupdate.xbe
default.xbe
dl.xbe
dl_adv.xbe
sc3.xbe
sc3_adv.xbe
update.xbe

those are the files in the main folder. any help now?? cheers

also if you are using xbmc then in settings you can select to use folder names as descriptions, but if you are using a lcd then the name in the default.xbe still shows up on that.
