I have an Arcade/Jasper that I messed up by putting the drive power cord in the wrong way for my Lite-on drive/backup drive. I was using usbpro when it happened, and noticed the smell. The drive seems fried, it had smoke marks, and one part on the PCB was blackened, but the motherboard seems cosmetically fine. I tried a benq to test if the mobo would power it, but it just turns on with the usual green center blinking light w/the opening, closing deal. I don't think I can get my drive's key unless the benq was spoofed (can't recall, and won't know for a few days if it can be retrieved from either drive through ck3i and probe3.) However, the console returns to normal once I plug in the hard drive, but only for games already there (just proving it's not a RRoD thing.
Now on to the main point!

Which of the repair people in the forums could handle extracting the key, fixing the motherboard power connections, and maybe even fixing the fried drive? Should I send the drive to the best at that on the forums, and the consol somewhere else, or the whole thing in general. I'm trying to get it done quickly and cheaply, so what would you good people suggest (Thank you in advance!!)

Hi.
If you have completely fried the drive then the easiest thing to do would be to install a coolrunner to get the dvd key and buy a new drive and flash the key to it.
You will need to be reasonably good at soldering to install a coolrunner

As posted before three options .
1 State location .
2 People on here can help . I.E I can solder coolrunner for you get keys and even flash new dvd drive to whatever lt firmware you want
3 buy kit yourself and try it but without sounding rude I dont think you should do that if you plugged power cord in wrong way.
Don't panic all is not lost but more info on what you would like help with would be grateful

Sorry. I'm in Hawaii, but not in that big a hurry that expensive shipping costs are needed. Thanks!
