replace benq drive

I replaced my defective benq drive with a new benq drive. used jungleflasher got the firmware and key. hooked up new benq drive used jungleflasher, erased new drive then write saved benq firmware from old drive.

Now new drive will only play movies not games. IT says play game but wont load. Gives me a message to check disk.

If it says play game then the flash should have been ok.

Sounds like the laser is faulty. Where did you get the New drive from ?

DVD plays fine, so dont think its the laser. Got drive new not used from ebay

You might need to test and pot tweak the laser. But i wouldn't always trust ebay to sell you a New unused drive.

Not 100% on this one but it does sound like the laser might be faulty.

I use TX resellers for my parts, (safe bet) worth it for piece of mind. ;)

when you say it wont play games is it backups or originals it wont play.or is it both?
if its backups i would say the laser or if its both then maybe the firmwear

I very much agree. If it wants to play a DVD movie when you put in an original game then its the wrong Key.

If you start the game does it tell you in order to play this game put it in a xbox 360 console? If so you will need to retrieve the key as that is the incorrect drive for the unit and the keys fon't match.

it plays dvds, it wont play original games. i used jungleflasher to copy dvd key and it says original software key is same
