So, this is my first flash and I'm working with an old Phat 360. I've made a few repairs to it, one of which was replacing a non functioning Hitachi 79 with a Hitachi 59 that I ordered. The new drive did not come with the proprietary interface card in the drive, so I used the old one from the 79, which was also useful so that my serials would still match.
So, the ultimate question is: Which method do I use, the 79 or non-79?
