Replacement PCB (Slim) Unlocked Question

Hi,

I have a TX Replacement PCB v1 in my slim model (0272) and its been working perfect. My friend is looking to get his one done which I am sure is the same model as mine.

I have tried finding a retailer/supplier for the replacement pcb in the UK but I can't seem to find any.

Does anyone know where I can get a hold of these? (I would try the kamakazi hack etc but I don't want to risk it on his console)

Also, I saw you can buy "Unlocked" pcbs from eBay/Amazon etc. Do these work the same way but instead of having a switch to turn write protection on/off I need to rub a swab of alcohol over a hole in the chip?

The unlocked 16d4s PCBs on eBay will work fine. Extract the key from the PCB and save it as usual. Then have a go at unlocking yourself. If u balls it up then just get a unlocked PCB from eBay.

The ones on Ebay that are unlocked are "pre-drilled" though. So I am assuming I just pop it into my drive. Flash the firmware and relock. Job done?

Turns out the manufacture date of the xbox is Aug 2011 so on 360drives.com it seems to be a 1175 or 1071. Is it still the same method. Buy an unlocked pcb then just flash my key to it and pop in?

right except 1,the 0401 can also be flashed with the same pcb,the 1175 and 1532 are only ones that need ltu2

Ah so I can buy any DG-164S unlocked PCB and all I need is a USBPRO and CK3PRO to read the key from original drive and write to unlocked one for the 0272/9504/0225/1071/0401.

Its onlt the Liteon 1175/1532+ that would involve me using coolrunner etc for reading the key from the original drive? (and also a LTU2 replacement pcb).

If I want to lock/unlock the pcb is that done all in jungleflasher or is that what the swab of alcohol is about.

if u are referring to the kamikaze method then yes just use the swab and alcohol or if that doesn't work then just stick the end of the resistor in the hole.

I have another slim model here which is 2013 (I am assuming its a 1532). If I was to go down the road of doing them I know they need a LTU2 board which is about £30 but what other equipment would I need to buy other than my CK3PRO and USBPRO?

Keeping in mind I wouldnt be doing RGH/JTAG I just need the cheapest kit for reading the key.

A glitch chip(slim proto/cr3lite), nand reader(j-r programmer for 250/320GB version, 4GBRW kit for 4GB version), postfix adapter and soldering eqipment.

If I buy this stuff does it need to stay in the xbox or can it all be removed after reading the nand/key?

Also, I can't find anywhere that sells 1532 LTU2 boards apart from eBay (china). Can you unlock the original boards with a kamikaze method?

You can remove all stuff from the xbox after extraction, only LTU/LTU2 PCB will stay in the xbox.

Ignore that China boards, they are garbage.You can't unlock lite-on 16d5s drive with kamikaze hack.

What is the standard price for the items so I don't get ripped off? I know you can't get them in UK retailers anymore but I still don't want to overpay.
