So I installed the v1.1 replacement PCB for the Liteon 16d4s. Everything seems to have gone the right way until I plugged in the drive to the xbox. The drive will not open. The power light continues to blink on the console. I flashed the PCB to the LT 3.0 firmware. I locked the PCB up to the 0x8C status, and also flipped the switch on the PCB to locked status after sending Outro. What could be the issue?

sounds like either no firmware or maybe a wires hooked in wrong if you soldered them? the other possibility is the board is fake,or bad, which almost never happens with tx gear imo.
got a jf log?

I don't believe I have the JungleFlasher log of me writing the LT 3.0 firmware. I flashed it to stock firmware because I totally forgot to update to the latest dash. I then updated to LT 3.0. It is real TX product, I bought it from XConsoles. I did not solder the wires. I simply cut the old PCB wires in half and stuck them in the correct colors. Should I maybe strip the wires and then put them into the color coded box?

Well stripping the wires got the drive to power up and actually work, but now when I put a real game or back up game in, it just reads Play Game but nothing will run. There is no game picture behind the Play Game text as well. Maybe I flashed it wrong? Is there a tutorial out there on how to flash the replacement PCB? Thanks for all the help so far.

there is a chance here that you have a weak laser i guess,i have seen this many times, its just too weak to pick up backups, cause they are much crappier quality wise than retails.you ever played backups on this particular console?

sounds more like a fw issue though tbh,did you get a full dump of the drive? or just slimkey?

If I read it correctly, I think I forgot to flash it to LT 3.0....I just reflashed it to LT 3.0, will see how it does. I locked it back to 0x8C, Outro the drive, then switch PCB to Locked status. Powered off CKi

Yes!!!! It is working now. Thanks for all the help. Now if I can only find out how to get the Drive Key from the other failed Kamikaze slim I have sitting here. I accidently cut the wires to the PCB before getting the key? Have any suggestions on that one? :frown:
