Does anyone know of a chip supplier that sells the external switch seperately?

The one I received with my chip is faulty (the switch that turns the mod on/off is buggy)

I contacted the site I originally bought from and they are more than happy to send me a new one as long as I pay for shipping both ways. This will cost me more than the chip cost to begin with.

Somewhere in Indian Ocean
You can check the resellers on the homepage of this site, look for the store nearest to your place. But if you like to do some experiment on your broken switch, look for the schematic diagram of X2.6 switch on Big_whoopin's sig

Thanks... I'll check out the resellers.

As for the schematics... I think I may have to pass. I tried to use my residential electricity schematic reading skills on electronics schematic... this is what happened.

Power up box... faint whifff of ozone... blue flash.
Results: I lit a trace on an Xecuter chip up like a light bulb element. But I do have to say, they build these chips like tanks... a few minutes of making a new trace and it booted up fine. (well after I removed the 5v to ground short I created from misinterpreting a schematic. :) )

Well I gave it another go and figured I should atleast update this message so if anyone runs into this problem, it may help them out.

Thanks to Big_whoopin for supplying the schematic.

Sorry about the image size and quality but you should get the idea what needs to be done.

Plugged it into my programmer and found the chip ok... all correct LEDs lit up, flashing now. Big test is when I put it into a box later tonight.

Extinguisher on hand... check
Scream like a little girl... check

*** Update ***

This is a confirmed way to override a faulty switch.

Side note: The modchip can not be turned off, moving the switch to the off position will result in a FRAG.

Any update on how to bypass the switch on a 2.6? The image linked above appears to be down.

I don't really care for the on/off functionality.
