RGH Replacing 16d5s board with 16d4s on RGH

Hello all,

On several occasions I replaced slim liteon drives with lost DVD keys with 16d2s drives + rgh + nofcrt patch enabled

I am working on a Corona with 16d5s it is intended to stay RGH'ed I changed the board with a spare 16d4s board with pro kit installed. and I created an LTU 0225 and spoofed that onto 0225 LT+3 to inject the DVD key into it. Then I created an Image with nocfrt patch enabled but still no games are working.

I tried to creat a new image with the nand patched with OSIG to 0225 and created an image from that + nofcrt but still doesn't work.

The laser is g2r2 the same as 16d4s so it should work, right? what should I do to make this work? will installing fusion make it work?

you cannot manual spoof to 0225 drives

you can writekey to 9504/0272 if you wish then use that

I did not manual spoof I actually created a full LTU 0225 and loaded it to source and used the spoof button to spoof it on 0225 LT3.

and the key was injected successfully. after I wrote it I read it again and the key was retrieved correctly.

and I tried the 272 as well

you cant do that

use JF's writekey function

While i have never tried what you are attempting, my general knowledge of LTU vs 3.0 fw makes me think it would not work.

As i said before, you can writekey to 9504/0272 fw.

Okay I added the write key function. but whenever I try to write the key it fails at stage 1

Follow the Lizfix tutorial to learn how to writekey.

Use 9504, then you can spoof that to 0272.

That has worked! thank you I was using another method to inject the key using jf but apperently it wasn't working.

So, now I can confirm that a 16d4s PCB is compatible with a 16D5S Drive

On my RGH, I added the dvd Key of the new PCB (Removed from another console) to the actual NAND using Jungle Flasher. It re-writes the existing dvd key and replaces with the one you have on the new PCB.

Can you edit a NAND using Jungle Flasher?

I tried before to edit the DVD key on the NAND itself in J-runner to match the drive I was going to place inside but that never worked for me. I am not sure what exactly did I do wrong. Or if it doesn't work this way any way?
