LITEON 9504 Replacing Winbond 9504 with MXIC 0225

OK, first off I have a USB Pro V2. I just picked up a Trinity Slim I am hoping to flash LT+ 3 to. Unfortunately I opened it up and it has a Winbond 9504 (which is now a 2702 since it has been updated to 13599 or later dash). I am not comfortable drilling into the PCB, but fortunately I have a spare MXIC board from a 0225 laying around.

I have already slim key'd and grabbed the dummy.bin from the Winbond board. I have the sputnik probe, so I was assuming I could just unlock the MXIC board with the probe and manually enter in the DVD key from the winbond board and flash it with LT+ 3. Is that accurate? If so, do i just copy and paste in the DVD key from the winbond board in the firmware tab?

You have to flash it with the full firmware not just the key, have you put a sputnik switch on the mxic board

How am I supposed to get the full firmware from the Winbond if it's not unlocked? Wouldn't I just need to load the dummy.bin from the Winbond in the firmware tab and let it load LT+3? No, dont have the switch, just the probe.

Just to clarify, you're saying go through the unlock steps for the MXIC, then go to the firmware tab and load the Winbond dummy as source and let it auto-load the LT+3 firmware right?

That is correct.

If your MXIC PCB is unlocked, you should be able to write LT+ 3.0 firmware to it.

Check the B/S/T section or purchase an Xecuter Unlocked PCB v1.1 (don't get an LTU PCB because it isn't required).

Brock you could maybe use winbond pcb as practice for drilling?i did and it worked.
