If you guys (Team-Xecuter) do decide to add this feature to overclock the Switch, then please remember this. Doing so will cause them to run hotter then they already do, possibly causing them to overheat and die, or if lucky just warp the console like when they are played at 1080 in the dock for too long. I suggest that this feature not be addded as part of the SX OS. That it be an add-on rather, such as the brilliant idea for the SX-Installer.
That way people who do not wish to ever use such a feature and abuse their system will not have to worry about a bug in some future update causing the system to heavily overclock and kill their Switch.
Remember what has been posted all over the web about Switches warping while in the dock because they run too hot already. Because when in the dock they output 1080 rather then 720, plus the dock doesn't allow airflow as well as in handheld mode. Well if you overclock the system without beefing up its cooling it WILL have the same exact effect and run hotter, you can bank on it and possibly break many Switches.
If you do add it to the OS instead of an add-on, then please make sure your users have the ability to monitor the CPU/GPU frequency and system temp on-screen while playing. Otherwise it is possible that a bug down the road could activate the overclocking without our knowledge and wihtout warning destroy our unreplaceable-hackable-$300 consoles. I'm sure that wouldn't make very many people happy with your product.
Please don't kill my Switch. Make overclocking a completely seperate add-on, like the SX-installer.
Thank you.
P.S.
I am in no way asking for an overclocking feature in any way. Just that if you do, please make it a seperate tool so that the rest of us are not stuck with it.
Thank you.
