**Request - UK Ban Stopping OTA Updates

Hi, ever since Ninty won their case to get Xecuter domains banned it has been a pain getting on this forum, having to use a VPN now and i no longer receive OTA updates.

Is it possible to host the update file for OTA updates at a different URL to avoid this problem.
And mirror this url with a different extensions in a similar fashion to some torrent sites, i.e https://team-xecuter.sx/ (yes .sx exists) would be a great help for those affected by the ban

TX could do that however it wouldn't take Nintendo long to just have the block list updated again to include the new domains.

A VPN is your best friend in the UK when it comes to things like this and even more your friend when it comes to the IP ACT.

Fair enough. But they wouldn't bother chasing down a URL that's just purely used for updates
Just because I can't use a VPN unless I purchase a VPN service and a router capable of issuing network wide VPN just for An OTA update.

From what I undestand all the TX sites are being blocked or will be, so creating a new site just for updates would surely get blocked as well. Unfortunately easiest way is to just download the boot.dat manually with a VPN on just your computer or grab them from the resource section here since you are able to access the forums.

All of the TX domains are blocked including the forums. My ISP provides a list of websites that they have been ordered to block by the courts.

I believe using the turbo mode in the Opera browser will allow you to get around the blocks too! so that is a good free option if you don't want to pay for a VPN.
