Reset Chip?????

Is there such a thing as to press and hold A+B+Y+X to reset the x3 chips. I saw a mention of this in a post and was wondering if it was true. If it is WHere and when would you do such a thing, during boot, in flashbios...????

Hold down the buttons on the con, and while holding them, boot the box with the chip enabled.
