reset/eject adapter

what does the reset/eject adapter do (for X3) in the xbox when it is installed inside of it?

If it is for you to obtain the backup roms, how do set the switches on the external switch for the bios?

But I don't know so will someone help?

reset and eject switch is needed to be able to turn on the mod chip or if you want to disable the chip or reflash. For the second part look here

Reset/Eject adapter is not required. It is optional, as is the external switch. I'd reccommend using it though, It allows your X3 to control the xbox for things like power off or reboot.
